I got all of the 3D Printed parts done. I got the rack cage nuts and screws.
I pretty much got it half way done. I just need to make the sides and bottom.
I need to figure out a way to attach the LCD on the bottom. If I can find the correct washers I think I can pull out four screws from the back of the LCD and use washers and slightly longer screws and sandwich the cage to it.
For the sides and bottom I’ll probably use some thin plywood and paint it. I was thinking to paint the bracket for the patch panel white but since the LCD is black I’ll leave it be. Gives the whole rack a storm trooper vibe.
I decided to use two PI 3b+. One will be for my Meshtasic setup and the other will be used as a console for the network.
In the picture the rails look flimsy but it’s rather strong. With 100% infill it holds up well. After I add the sides and bottom it will stiffen up things a lot.
