A buddy of mine decided to give me his Ender 3 V2 today.
Last night he texts me saying he designed a new punch down holder for CAT5e and CAT6 keystones and said he has presents for me in the morning. I get to work and he gives me a plastic baggy of hotend nozzles and then pulls out his Ender 3 that is caked in dust. He told me he is tired of looking at it. He never uses it since he bought a Prusa.
He already had added some upgrades to it. Stronger bed springs, Glass build plate, Dual Z-Axis and the Sprite all in one hotend/extruder. Also it’s flashed with the Jyers firmware.
I spent the afternoon cleaning it up and putting it back together. He had it in pieces since he had it in a enclosure.
The V2 has terrible cable management so I ended up doing the OG Ender 3 layout. I’m currently printing feet in TPU for it and I’m looking for a mount for the LCD screen and Power Supply.
Down the road I’ll get a PEI plate, BTT SKR Mini v3 board and a OG LCD controller.
