Decided to take a different path on store electronic parts

Ever since I saw that Findybot 3000 on YouTube I wanted to build something like it. I went through all of my electronics parts and I just have too many and I honestly hate to toss them out.

However I got everything into two 32 drawer organizers.

I want to have a Findybot but I don’t want it voice controlled or have it on the cloud. I want to use a some shell scripts on my PC that I can type into the terminal. For a example run “findpart red led” and the addressable LED will light up the drawer that has the red LEDs.

To make it more simple I will use a ESP8266 running WLED. I found some tutorials on controlling it using curl and the WLED API.

I am thinking to put the part organizers under the far back of the desk. I would have them on the shelf but then it would be hard to reach the top drawers.
